Texas began the game strong and took an early lead. Maryland Eastern Shore fought back and remained close throughout the first half. At the end of the first half, Texas was leading 40-34.

In the second half, Texas promptly pulled away. A lot of points scored early on allowed the Longhorns to gain a huge margin, which they maintained throughout the game. Maryland Eastern Shore managed to narrow the gap to 13 points on a couple of occasions, but Texas responded each time and maintained a lead of over 20 points towards the end of the game.

With the win, Texas’ record moved to 9-4 for the season.

Texas will now take a Christmas break before coming back on the court on Jan. 3 when they face Mississippi State in their inaugural game of the SEC schedule at the Moody Center. The matchup is set for 5 p.m. CT and can be watched on SEC Network.
