Brisbane Heat struggled right from the beginning of their batting innings, as they lost a number of wickets during the powerplay.
Powerplay 1 (Overs 0.1-4.0): Heat scored only 17 runs losing 2 wickets, which put immense pressure on their middle order.
The surrender continued, and at the drinks break, Brisbane were reeling at 46/5 in 10 overs, with HD Weibgen (10) and JJ Peirson (13) trying to steady the ship.
