New Zealand showed a complete display of their batting and bowling skills as they won the 4th T20I against India by 50 runs.

New Zealand Innings – Seifert Sets the Tone

New Zealand started the 4th T20I with a blistering opening display as they reached 71 without losing any wickets in the first six overs. The opening duo of Devon Conway and Tim Seifert tore apart the Indian bowling attack with their fearless stroke play.

The Black Caps reached 50 in just 4.3 overs, with Seifert doing the major damage. The first wicket fell at 50 runs in 27 balls, with Conway getting out for 7, but by then, the foundation had already been laid.
Seifert smashed a mind-boggling half-century in just 25 balls, with 5 fours and 3 sixes, as New Zealand reached 100 in 8.1 overs. Even as wickets kept falling at regular intervals after the drinks break, the run rate never slowed down.
At the midpoint, New Zealand were 103/2 in 9.1 overs, and they continued their momentum to reach 150 in 14.6 overs. A successful review by India saw Daryl Mitchell get out in the 17th over, but the late-order batsmen ensured a good finish.

New Zealand scored over 200 in the final over and concluded their innings at an intimidating 215/7, with Mitchell scoring 39.

India Innings – Dube Fights, But Collapse Ensues

Chasing 216, the Indian innings began on shaky ground. They scored 53 in the powerplay but lost two wickets, putting pressure on the chase immediately.

India scored 50 in 5.5 overs, but a successful review by New Zealand saw Hardik Pandya get out, further hampering India’s momentum. At the drinks break, India were struggling at 77/4, with Rinku Singh attempting to hold one end.

Rinku’s fight came to an end as another review went against India, and despite scoring over 100 in 11.3 overs, wickets continued to fall. Shivam Dube brought about a late flurry, hitting an incredible 50 off just 15 balls, including six sixes.
Dube then added 50 runs for the sixth wicket in only 19 balls, which helped India cross 150 in 15.3 overs, but the required pace was too much. After Dube’s dismissal, the innings fell apart quickly.

India finally lost all their wickets and were bowled out for 165, which was 50 runs short of the target.
